Who We Are

IIRESODH is an established regional non-profit organization dedicated to defending democracy and human rights. Born in San José, Costa Rica, we have steadily grown our global footprint, maintaining working offices and representation in Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Guatemala, and Switzerland. Today, we act as a vital bridge connecting the Inter-American Human Rights System and the United Nations directly to local realities.

Our Mission

To provide expert legal support and advocacy for individuals and communities facing human rights violations. We work tirelessly to ensure access to justice, protect fundamental freedoms, and support asylum seekers through comprehensive legal representation and strategic interventions at national and international levels. Through this work, we actively influence a culture where respect for human rights by companies and public institutions is recognized as a direct driver of development.

Our Vision

A world where human rights are universally protected, and every individual has access to justice, dignity, and the tools to defend their fundamental freedoms.

Our Origins

Founded in Costa Rica, our organization is known globally by our original Spanish acronym, IIRESODH. As we expanded our international impact and established a formal presence in North America, we legally registered in Canada as IIHRSR. While our corporate name adapts to our growing footprint, our global identity and mission remain unified.
